And Finally...
|
In Boston there was only one thing that people were thinking and talking about, the Boston Marathon bombing. Like all tragic and horrific events this will have a lasting impact on the lives of the survivors and their families. It will also have a lasting impact on this beautiful and resilient community that I have grown to love. In this column in October of last year, I announced that I was in training for the 2014 Boston Marathon. I am still in training for the race and plan on running the race. I am certain, that contrary to the goals of the perpetrators, there will be even more interest in next year's race than this year's race. We will come together in this race and in other future events, including our Gala this week in the Boston suburb of Framingham to celebrate what is best about us as a community. The fabric of our culture is strong. Please join us on Thursday night to reaffirm our belief in ourselves and the fundamental goodness of humanity.
Dr. Fred
