I am probably the most biased observer there is when it comes to evaluating last week's GNEMSDC Business Opportunity Fair and Expo. There is always a glow at even the worst of these public events that sometimes does not carry over in the follow up stage of an Expo. However, I must say that the energy at the Expo this year was palpable and extremely positive. My commitment to all certified MBEs who attended this year's event is to use all of my powers of persuasion to help with those extremely important follow up meetings that are absolutely essential before a contact becomes a contract. So if any MBE who met with a corporate member who enthusiastically communicated to the MBE to "give them a call", or to "follow up to set up a meeting" or other very positive encouragements, and two or three weeks from today there are no return calls, no returned emails, no communication, then it is time for you to enlist my personal support to get a resolution of the contact. This is my pledge to all certified MBEs who attended the event. It is our mission to do everything we can to turn those contacts into contracts.
